MYP 1 Students Create Powerful Advocacy Posters on Social Issues

On February 4, 2025, MYP 1 students at Pathways World School engaged in a powerful cross-disciplinary GRASPS Task led by the Individuals & Societies and Visual Arts teams. Focused on research into social inequalities, gender discrimination, and disabilities, students crafted persuasive awareness posters that blended artistic expression with meaningful advocacy.

Using tools like the emotions wheel and strategic color palettes, the learners created visuals that not only informed but also evoked emotion, demonstrating the profound impact that creativity and critical thinking can have in raising awareness about social issues. The project highlighted how art can be a tool for social change, fostering both creativity and empathy in addressing real-world challenges.
