Day 18 @ Thailand Summer Camp
On May 25th, 2024, at 5:30 am, a group consisting of 27 students and 6 teachers from our school embarked on a memorable journey to Agra. Despite the early start, the students were filled with anticipation as they set off on the bus, eagerly looking forward to the experiences that lay ahead.
During the journey, the students indulged in some much-needed rest, catching up on sleep after waking up at 4:00 am. At 6:30 am, they were pleasantly surprised to receive a box of delicious snacks, including cheese sandwiches, a mouthwatering chocolate cupcake, a ripe banana, and refreshing juice. Their spirits lifted further as they stopped at a Dhaba, where they savoured delectable parathas, juicy fruits, and creamy yogurt for breakfast.
As the journey continued, the students were enlightened with an audio presentation about the history of the Taj Mahal, enhancing their understanding and appreciation of this iconic monument. Engaging in a lively quiz session further enlivened their spirits, providing an opportunity for friendly competition and camaraderie among them.
The group arrived at the Taj Mahal, the epitome of love and beauty, where they marvelled at its majestic architecture and explored its serene surroundings. Venturing inside, they were awe-struck by the intricate craftsmanship and solemn beauty of the tombs within. Afterward, they enjoyed a sumptuous lunch replenishing their energy for the adventures yet to come.
Following lunch, the students participated in a thrilling blog writing competition, showcasing their creativity and storytelling skills. Asmi's team emerged victorious, adding to the excitement of their day. Their exploration continued with a visit to the stunning Red Fort, where they were mesmerised by its grandeur and historical significance.
As the day drew to a close, they stopped at Burger King for a satisfying dinner before heading back. Upon their return, they relished some well-deserved phone time before bidding farewell to their newfound friends and retiring for the night, cherishing the memories of their unforgettable journey to Agra.
