Day 4 @ Thailand Summer Camp

The day unfolded with a charming visit to the petting zoo, where students reveled in meeting the delightful inhabitants of our school's animal sanctuary. Engaging with cuddly rabbits, they savored a tranquil moment while delighting in feeding them.

After their furry escapade, students immersed themselves in a captivating session of mandala art guided by Dr. Akanksha Lall. Exploring the intricate patterns and symbolism of mandalas, they found solace in the harmonious fusion of design and the cosmos, unleashing their creative expressions onto canvas.

Subsequently, students delved into the realms of theatre and dance, embarking on an artistic voyage of discovery. In the theatre class, they participated in various activities such as Freeze Frame and Mirroring, delving into the nuances of performance art. Additionally, they were enthralled by a captivating demonstration of shadow theatre, igniting their imaginations and understanding of theatrical techniques.

Students also delved into map skills, attempting to mark rainforests and biodiverse countries on the world map. They visited PYP Exhibition groups and gleaned insights from them. Today, Jada immersed himself in exploring the theme of 'Equal Opportunities,' visiting various PYPX stations to broaden his understanding and listening intently to his peers' perspectives.

During their language acquisition class, students eagerly embraced the intricacies of Hindi greetings. Engaging in insightful discussions on social awareness themes such as respect for elders and compassion towards others, they expressed their comprehension through artistic renderings, showcasing not only their enthusiasm for linguistic acquisition but also their understanding of societal values.
