Saturday Activity - Colorado

Colorado held an extremely engaging activity that captured the attention of all the children who voluntarily took part and showed a spirit of unity, excitement, and eagerness. The primary objective of the activity was to foster a sense of unity and create a "home away from home" atmosphere.

Three groups of students were formed:

The first group worked on creating their own tents to showcase their creative ideas. Their observation of the process of cooking food with firewood and a brick-built makeshift stove brought back memories of the times before gas and electricity were available to make life easier.

Making lemon juice was assisted by the second group. Students were given some instructions, which they followed one after the other to obtain a tasty drink. They all had distinct roles to play, and maintaining hygiene was taken into consideration.

The third group looked at the baking tray, the amounts, and the baking ingredients. They were told to blend the ingredients until the batter was smooth, then pour the mixture into the baking tray so it could bake.

Afterward, the entire group congregated in the garden with the HOB to partake in the "Yummy and Delicious Feast," the product of their labor.
