Saturday Activities
Amazon - Treasure Hunt
On August 26th at 11:00 a.m., students from grades 10 and 11 engaged in an exhilarating treasure hunt. Divided into four mixed-grade groups of ten, they eagerly deciphered clues across the expansive 22-acre campus, competing for prizes. This thrilling activity not only provided fun and physical activity but also fostered stronger bonds among the students.
Han - Finger Painting
This past Saturday, residents of Han enjoyed a nostalgic and creative finger painting activity, allowing us to reconnect with our childhood and express ourselves artistically. Finger painting, cherished by both children and adults, offers a hands-on approach to art, enabling us to craft vibrant and personal masterpieces. Beyond the joy it brings, this activity also offers numerous mental and physical benefits. It encourages creativity, imagination exploration, and allows for limitless self-expression. Regardless of age, finger painting is an inclusive and engaging Saturday activity for all residents, fostering meaningful conversations, idea sharing, and lasting memories. The pride we felt as our unique artworks took shape added to the enjoyment, and you can view our creations on display at HAN.
Mekong - Door Tags
A recent creative activity in our school's boarding area involved crafting personalized door tags for our rooms. This enjoyable and productive activity allowed us to express our individuality by designing unique tags using art supplies like markers, colored paper, and stickers. It also facilitated bonding among students as we shared ideas and fostered a sense of community. Through this process, we gained insights into each other's interests and passions, sparking conversations and strengthening our connections. Furthermore, it transformed our plain Residence doors into colorful expressions of our personalities.
Zambezi - Health & Hygiene
Zambezi students recently attended a First Aid and Hygiene session led by the school infirmary staff, Ms. Wijik and Ms. Shikha. This session covered the fundamentals of providing initial assistance to casualties until paramedics arrive. Students learned essential skills to aid friends and family in situations like nosebleeds, choking, various bandaging techniques, dealing with cramps, and treating minor injuries while following the correct procedures to prevent further harm. Additionally, they received guidance on maintaining crucial personal hygiene for overall health.
